Arcadia Youth Basketball is a community-based basketball program created to provide the neighborhood of Arcadia (Phoenix, AZ) a basketball program that focuses on skill development, team training, and league games all while providing a fun and safe environment. The game of basketball can be a powerful tool in the development of our youth and we aim to provide the youth of Arcadia a place to learn, develop, and grow through their love of basketball.
Arcadia Youth Basketball believes that players must learn the fundamentals, advanced fundamentals, and the basketball IQ of the game to truly reach their maximum potential as a basketball player. Our training sessions will focus on a variety of fundamentals skills to improve the athlete’s skill set, understanding of the game, and their confidence
AYB recreational athletes will be separated into age/skill appropriate teams that they will go through a weekly team practice/training to learn the concepts needed to utilize the skills learned in training. Along with these practices, there will be a 6 week season where the kids will compete using what they have learned in training sessions and team practice.
AYB Club program offers competitive teams that focus on individual development, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The club program offers several age groups (3rd/4th, 5th/6th and 7th/8th Grades) with each age group having multiple teams that are grouped by ability and understanding of the game. We have a team for everyone that wants to participate. We practice twice a week with a game on most Saturdays. We participate in the Arizona Basketball Coaches Association Youth Development League which matches up our teams against similar teams in order to have a great club experience.
